Kitty performs on the X Factor Boot Camp
I love this song. It’s iconic and the version that I used was Adam Lambert’s from American Idol – it’s different, rock, and super camp! My outfit really was £2000, so expensive! But worth it, I think. I really wanted to make a huge impact with this performance, show people who I am as a performer and what I can do. As for how I got those lights to start flashing...that secret stays with me!!
:-)
‘Edge OF Glory’
This song means a huge amount to me, so much so that I thought it would be perfect for the sing off. Notice those boots? They are the same ones that Lady Gaga wears on tour, they are ridiculously comfortable and I actually got a really expensive “dance” heel and sole put on them so I can run around the stage without slipping. I think everyone should have a pair of these boots. You can buy them from Penthouse, they are relatively cheap too.
‘Don’t Stop Me Now’
Another Queen classic! The dress I’m wearing was made entirely of feathers as well, I couldn’t sit down at all!
‘Who Wants To Live Forever’
I’m a huge Queen fan, and this song really is amazing. That platform was super crazy high though! In the dress rehearsal I nearly fell off it with my high heels...
‘Beautiful Disaster’
One of my favourite Kelly Clarkson songs and I loved doing this at Judges Houses, so I thought it would be good to sing this. I loved the arrangement on this, although I was really sad to see Johnny go.
‘Like A Prayer’
“Love Madonna, so it was great fun to sing this track. The costume I’m wearing is actually designed by Ke$ha’s favourite designer, Marco Marco. Love it!”
‘Over The Rainbow’
I kind of knew I would go home if I was in the sing off yet again, so I wanted to show that I could strip it back completely. I felt like this would be the perfect goodbye song, and I’m so glad I got to sing it, not just for the judges and everyone at home, but for all my fans and everyone who supported me throughout this. Such a sad song, but also I felt just perfect for that moment.
Live And Let Die’
This was the first time I got to be really creative on the show – pretty much everything you see was my idea – the piano, the back bend... everything! So I got really excited about this one, it’s very rock! But that hairstyle hurt my head so much, I had a massive headache the next morning! Not for the faint hearted!
‘Sweet Dreams’
My favourite performance of all of them. So much fun to go spinning around on that giant wheel! If you look closely, I close my eyes when I go close to the sparks at the bottom – I was terrified the sparks would fly in my eyes! I also had rehearsed this with me dragging this guy around on a leash...they cut it at the last minute!
‘It’s Oh So Quiet’
Alice in Wonderland really suited this song and made it something completely different. I loved the set and the choreography, it made the song totally unique and...even better...the cakes on the table were real! They had to be sprayed with hairspray to stop the crew eating them!
